Car maintenance checklist

What to check every month, every six months and every year to keep a European car healthy.

  1. Every month: tire pressure (sticker on the driver door), lights, wiper fluid and a look under the car for drips.
  2. At every oil service: follow the service indicator or the owner’s manual. Most European cars use a specific synthetic oil; ask us which one yours needs.
  3. Every six months: wiper blades, battery test, brake pads and rotors, tire tread and rotation.
  4. Every year: AC performance, alignment check, cabin and engine air filters.
  5. By the manual’s schedule: brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, transmission service and timing belt where your engine has one.
  6. Keep every receipt in one folder: it helps the next diagnosis and the resale value.
