Customer service

A good repair starts with good information. Here is how to prepare, what to ask, and how we keep you informed.

Before you bring your car

  • Keep the owner’s manual and your service history handy, if you have them.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule.
  • Write down the symptoms: what happens, since when, and when it happens.
  • Do not ignore warning lights.

What to tell us about the problem

  • Is it constant, or does it come and go?
  • Does it happen with the engine cold or warm?
  • At what speed: accelerating, braking, shifting, turning?
  • New noises, smells, drips, smoke or vibrations.
  • Changes in fuel use or fluid levels.

During the service

  • Ask as many questions as you need; we explain in plain words.
  • We call you with the diagnosis and the estimate before we start. You decide.
  • If a time changes, we let you know.
  • Before you leave, be clear on the warranty and payment methods.
  • Leave us a phone number where we can reach you.

Watch out for "car warranty" calls

  • Robocalls that say your car warranty is about to expire and ask for personal or payment details are a common scam.
  • Do not give details to anyone who calls you unasked. Hang up and call the manufacturer or your insurer at their official number.
  • If you already gave details, tell your bank and file a complaint with the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov) or the FCC.
